After an amazing trip back to my hometown of and was inspired to share a great recipe for the traditional brunch cocktail of the Big Easy.

The really good places are all infusing their vodka with Vegetables these days, to do this, take a glass pitcher and fill it with okra, celery, olives, cherry tomatoes, peeled garlic cloves, peppers, (red and green, sliced) and cocktail onions.

Arrange a neat couple of rows of each, layering it for a neatly packed pitcher, let it set covered for at least a week.

For your perfect Bloody here's what you need

  • 12 oz glass
  • Ice
  • 1/4 tsp. of Horseradish
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • celery salt
  • black pepper
  • 1/6 of a lime
  • Low Sodium V8
  • Clamato
  • 3 1/2 oz Vodka
  • Pickeled Okra
  • Pickeled Green Bean
  • Olive & Cocktail Shrimp
  • Tabasco

Place the cubes in the glass, then add the horse radish

Add a dash of Worcestershire over the ice

Sprinkle celery salt over the ice

Sprinkle a couple of dashes of black pepper

Squeeze the lime juice in and drop in the lime

Add vodka

Fill the rest of the glass with 1/2 Clamato 1/2 V8 mixture, add a dash of Tabasco & shake well

Garnish with olive, cocktail onion & shrimp on a skewer

Stick a pickled green bean & picked Okra in your glass

Sit down & enjoy!

Virginia Lang grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana
and is a true southern girl. She attended LSU,
before working in Huntsville, Alabama and Biloxi,
Mississippi. She also spent some time at WMXV
in New York City before joining Kevin in West
Palm Beach.

Virginia says, “I was about to accept a job in my
hometown of New Orleans, working on the station
I grew up listening to, WEZB, when Kevin called.
I can't really say what made me know he was the
one, but I just did. The job in New Orleans paid
more, and would have been an easier transition
but there was just something about the chemistry
we had on the phone that made me want to work
with him. Now, almost 10 years later I still feel that
same way I did when I moved here sight unseen.”

During her 10 years in West Palm, Virginia has gone
from a hard-partying single girl, to a hard-partying
mother. She has an adorable 4 year-old girl, named
Magnolia, who loves a microphone and is often
featured on the show. Virginia enjoys shopping, going
out with the girls and yummy food.
